Audis are taking over Great Lakes Dragaway on Friday, Oct 11! Join us as the Audi club attends GLD's Fun Racing night at the famous dragstrip in Union Grove, WI.
The weather should be cooler in October for more power and to take advantage of the quattro traction at launch.
This is a great low-key event to test out your car, reaction times and to drive your car at higher speeds in a controlled environment. Whether you have never been to a drag strip before or your car is a quarter-mile race car, this should be a really fun event for all, including the family. We've been provided a space to gather together in the pits and we'll have some prizes and giveaways for some of the drivers as well. Don't miss it!
We will provide some tips, best practices and recommendations to be prepared. Registration will ensure you receive that information and that we know you're coming.
GLD opens the track at 5pm and runs until 9pm. Please allow time for GLD to perform their technical inspection of your vehicle after you arrive.
Note: Closed toe shoes, long pants and sleeved shirts are required for drivers. Helmets are required for most drivers and are highly recommended.
GLD's Weekday Pricing (from their website) - entry fees will be collected by GLD at the gate:
- Regular fun racing - $60.00 (fun racing at special events and competition race prices vary.)
- Spectator/ crew entry: $22.00 (does not include pit parking)
- General spectator parking - free!
- Kids ages 10 to 15 - $12.00
- Kids ages 9 and under - free!
